More on DTS...
Well, here in Atlanta we run this amazing and exciting school called the DTS. It is a 5-6 month innovative training course that challenges young people to step up and go to new lengths in the world that we are living in and realize that God has so much in store for each one of us!! (We gotta bust a move!!) He has placed a calling on each one of our lives. Have we been listening to Him?? Do we know what that is?? Have we been willing to count the cost??
I think one of the biggest realizations during DTS is just how important our Relationship with God is!! God has so much He wants to share with us and we have the opportunity to really seek Him and have that two-way relationship. How often do you find yourself always telling God everything, but never waiting for an answer or even giving Him an opportunity to speak? I wonder how many friends we would have if we always did all the talking... God wants to share so much with us, we just need to learn to take the time to listen. YWAM was founded on, “To Know God and Make Him Known” and that’s what the DTS is set-up for.
We have teachers/speakers and pastors from all over the world that come in during the 3 month lecture phase to share with us on many different topics. During this lecture phase we have the opportunity to live with the other students from all over, that are attending the DTS as well, and your friendships go deeper than some you’ve ever had before. There is a certain bonding that happens with your fellow students when God starts to work in and through you and they get to see the changes!! It’s so exciting!!
And once the lecture phase is over you have the opportunity to take everything you’ve learned and apply it straight away by going on a 6-8 week outreach, which is usually overseas. You see God work in amazing ways and how faithful He is in everything!!

Who Should Do A DTS.....
If you have a desire to be transformed, a desire to see God move in miraculous ways, a desire to have your faith brought to new levels, a desire for adventure, questions about God’s design for your life, a willingness to grow in the things of God, and an expectancy to see God move you further into your calling, then you need to join us for the next season in your life.
Guide to Completing the DTS Application
Thank you for applying to Youth With A Mission Atlanta! May you know the Lord’s
grace as you seek His direction. In order for us to process your application, we
must receive all the following completed forms. If a question does not apply to
you, write N/A in the blank. Husbands and wives enrolling as students must
complete separate applications. Please make a copy for your spouse if applicable.
1) Entry Application Form. Please answer all questions and return the form
along with the other items listed below.
2) Application Fee. A non-refundable application fee of US$35 for singles or
US$50 for couples should be sent with the application. Your application cannot
be processed without it. If you decide to pay online using debit/credit through our “Donate” page, the application fee will be US$40 due to processing cost charged by Paypal. If you would like to pay online click here.

3) Personal History. Please prayerfully and concisely answer the following
questions on a separate sheet of paper (print or type) and attach it to your
application form. Your answers will be significant in the application process.
a) Please describe your conversion experience and present spiritual relationship
with the Lord. (not more than one page)
b) What areas of your character are you presently seeking God to further
develop and improve?
c) Please describe your spiritual and/or ministry goals, including missionary
service goals.
d) Please describe your relationship with your local church, i.e. areas of
ministry, service leadership experience, gifts and abilities.
e) Please describe your business, professional, missions, or other significant
experiences.
f) Please describe your relationship with your family and how they feel about
your plans to enroll in the Discipleship Training School.
4) Reference Forms. After you sign each form and enter the course date, give
one form to your pastor, one to an employer or teacher, and one to a friend. If
you have taken a YWAM course previously, one of your references must be from
your most recent school leader. Ask them to complete the form and mail it
directly to the DTS. Please include a list of their names, addresses and
telephone number with your application. We must receive at least two of these
reference forms (Pastor’s form must be one) before we can process your
application.
5) Health Form. Please complete this form and return it directly to the DTS.
These forms must also be submitted for children if accompanying you.
*The reference forms and health forms are the only forms that can not se submitted via online. You will still have to mail or fax your health form and have the persons who fill out your references mail or fax them in. The address is located below as well as on the online application page.
Important: All students are encouraged to apply early as the course may fill up many weeks in advance. US citizens should apply no later than three weeks prior to the start of the school, and for non-US citizens, no later than two months, due to visa processing.
