God has definitely blessed us here at YWAM Atlanta. The way that we received this property is a testimony in itself. God is faithful to provide for His people. For those of you who don’t know, this has been an incredible process that has lasted a few years.  It has stretched our faith in many ways and to see God finally release it to us, is so exciting!!  We have just signed a lease/purchase agreement.  So, we will move into it and run our September Discipleship Training School out of it!!  We have had to trust God in the whole process and know that everything would happen in His timing.  AND NOW IS THE TIME!!  We have researched dozens of properties in metro-Atlanta and it has helped us define and understand our true needs to accomplish our goals in ministry.  This property is only a tool, not an end in itself.  God has called us to train and equip missionaries of all ages, “to know God —to better make Him known.”

The potential of this land is incredible.  We will have sufficient dormitory and classroom space for single and married Discipleship Training School students and for our immediate needs.  There are also two apartments and space for additional housing for full-time staff and guest speakers.  There is a riding arena that will accommodate youth programs such as Mission Adventures; drama seminars for church youth groups; and general missionary training.  Not to mention the many areas to just be able to spend time alone with God without all of the distractions.

This property is about 45 minutes east of downtown Atlanta.  The area we are in continues to grow and expand in every direction.  Housing developments are being put up on all sides of the property, so it’s great to have so many acres of land to be able to continue to build, etc.  This will be just one of our locations for YWAM Atlanta.  We believe that there is no way to be able to reach a city from one location, therefore we want to be located in a number of different areas here in Atlanta, as God continues to bring in the leaders to oversee other locations.  We definitely want staff teams living downtown and in the surrounding areas.  It’s going to be so exciting to see what God does in this city!!  The time has come to see a real breakthrough in this city and see people’s lives changed forever!!
