The DTS is not just about gaining knowledge. It is about transformation. Knowledge itself doesn’t change us. We can know something and still not do it. That is why the DTS is so much more than just another class or conference. It is the ideal environment for transformation in us so that we can change the world around us! We start with growing in our knowledge of God through encountering him through the Word, worship, and community. With that new knowledge we create space for the Holy Spirit to bring revelation and understanding which moves us to choose a lifestyle of radical faith and obedience. There is no transformation without obedience. That is why Jesus says if you love me you will obey me. Intimacy always brings fruitfulness and our God desires for us to bear fruit — both for ourselves and the world around us!
