So, many of you are probably wondering what a DTS is. Or your friends have told you, “You should go do a DTS, it’s a great experience - it changed my life.” Or others might not have had the easiest time, but God worked through it in so many ways and they recommend you doing one. Everyone experiences different things during their DTS. It all depends on where you’re at with God and how much you really want to put into it! It’s up to you...

Who is the DTS for in Atlanta?

If you are between the ages of 18 - 35 and ready to get more out of life and know God in a way you’ve never known, then come join us here in Atlanta for our Discipleship Training School! It is a 5-6 month innovative training course that challenges young people to step up and go to new lengths in the world that we are living in and realize that God has so much in store for each one of us! He has placed a calling on each one of our lives. Have we been listening to Him? Do we know what that is? Have we been willing to count the cost?

Why should I attend a DTS?

I think one of the biggest realizations during DTS is how important our Relationship with God is! He has so much He wants to share with us and we have the opportunity to really seek Him and have that two-way relationship. How often do you find yourself always telling God everything, but never waiting for an answer or even giving Him an opportunity to speak? I wonder how many friends we would have if we always did all the talking....God wants to share so much with us, we just need to learn to take the time to listen. YWAM was founded on, “To Know God and Make Him Known” and that’s what the DTS is set-up for. We need to know who He is in our own lives, so that we can lead others to Him!

We have speakers and pastors from all over the world that come in during the 3 month lecture phase to share with us on many different topics.

• Spiritual Warfare
• Evangelism
• Intimacy with God
• Inductive Bible Study
• Biblical Worldview
• Destiny/God’s plan for our lives
• And so much more!

You will have the opportunity to live with the other students and staff, that are attending the DTS. Your friendships will go deeper than some you’ve ever had before, as you grow together. There is a certain bonding that happens with your fellow students when God starts to work in and through you and they get to see the changes!

Once the lecture phase is over you take everything you’ve learned and apply it straight away, by going on an 8 - 12 week outreach, which is usually overseas. You see God work in amazing ways and how faithful He is in everything!
