End Bible Poverty Now is an initiative of YWAM centered on making the Scriptures available to every nation, people group, and individual in their mother tongue. 

 

  The mission of ending bible poverty in every tribe and nation throughout the earth is central to the command of Jesus to "go and make disciples of all nations..." As individuals and communities who have committed our lives to God, through the commission of Jesus, this is a burden we must carry.

Romans 10:13-15 provides further urgency for believers to fulfill this task, it reads, “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"

Through the past two millennia, those who have forsaken their own lives to follow the way of Jesus have oriented themselves as individuals and communities around the Word of God. As missionaries who seek to reach the unreached, what have we to offer besides the Word of God? Wycliffe founder Cam Townsend once quipped, "The greatest missionary is the Bible in the mother tongue..."
